According to the Deputy Policy and Accreditation Officer of Information Technology Organization, more than 98% of government devices have been connected to the national window of smart government services
The data centers of government agencies that do not meet the minimum standards have been identified and will be closed if the necessary reforms are not made.
According to the Iran digital economy annotation, “Hamid Monkaresi”, the vice president of policy and accreditation of this organization, while attending an event that was held for the purpose of training consultants and auditors of data centers of government agencies at the Shahid Ghandi Conference Center, informed about the possibility of closing non-standard data centers.
Referring to the serious responsibility of the Ministry of Communications in the maintenance of the country’s information infrastructure, the Deputy Director of the Information Technology Organization of Iran said: “So far, more than 98% of government agencies and about 60% of their services have been connected to the national window of smart government services, which according to the legal obligation, These services should increase.”
Monkaresi also continued:
“Given that the national window of smart government services has about 28 million registered users and one person from every Iranian household uses the services of this system even in the most remote parts of the country, the necessity of hosting and maintaining the data of executive bodies Doubly so in data centers that have a reliable, secure, protected, sustainable and standardized infrastructure.
Referring to the role of the Information Technology Organization of Iran in this context, he explained: “The task of identifying and evaluating the data centers of government agencies has been assigned to the Information Technology Organization of Iran in order to evaluate and identify the data centers of government agencies in five phases, from providing services by the centers Unauthorized and non-standard data should be prevented.
Regarding the situation of those data centers of government agencies that are in poor conditions, Monkaresi emphasized: “If we identify data centers that are far from the considered standards and it is not possible to improve them, the alternative solution is to use the infrastructure. It is integrated with the government in order to provide their services with a greater focus on increasing quality while enjoying a significant coefficient of security and stability.
The Vice President of Policy and Accreditation of the Information Technology Organization considered data as the beating heart of smart services and expressed hope that with the participation and interaction of the Computer Trade Union Organization (NSR) it would be possible to create reliable and stable infrastructures for data governance in these centers to increase the quality of services.
