According to the IDEA, e-commerce usually has a wider application than online shopping; That is, it does not only include buying and selling through the Internet, but also includes other aspects of business activity, such as purchasing, processing of goods, management of production and procurement, and distribution and transfer of goods, as well as after-sales services. Having said that, the concept of e-commerce is much broader than e-business.
Based on this, e-commerce can be considered as doing any business online and through the Internet, or any transaction in which the purchase and sale of goods or services is done through the Internet and leads to the import or export of goods or services.
If the goods are digital or delivered online for physical goods at the customer’s home or workplace, it is considered as e-commerce. Of course, it is obvious that this process requires internet access from users to view products and order goods or services online.
