The CEO of the Energy Exchange announced the supply of energy needed by the cryptocurrency mining industry as one of the capacities of the Energy Exchange.
According to IDEA, the possibility of using the Energy Exchange for the cryptocurrency mining industry has been available for several months, which has been proposed as a solution to the blackouts and energy problems of this industry. However, it seems that the activists have not welcomed this plan.
Ali Naqavi, the CEO of the Energy Exchange, said about the green electricity market and the Energy Exchange: The green electricity market can be a supplier of energy needed by industries in seasons when there are power outages. Also, real shareholders can invest in the green electricity market by purchasing this electricity through revolving baskets.
Naqavi also announced about the mining industry, another capacity that the green electricity hall has for consumers is supplying energy to cryptocurrency miners. In this way, licensed cryptocurrency miners can supply the electricity they need through the Energy Exchange.
The CEO of the Energy Exchange says that Ali Babaknia, the head of the Blockchain Association’s Mining Working Group, said: “Although the Energy Exchange has good potential to supply the energy needed by miners, one of the most important challenges of mining in Iran is the tariff rate, and even if the miners get the energy they need cheaper and through the Energy Exchange, they still have to pay the difference in the tariff rate to Tawanir.
