The Head of the Office of Technology and Innovation at the Ministry of SAMT, referring to the National Knowledge-Based Industry event held in Tehran, stated: September 28th, this event will be held with the participation of 150 companies, and a support package for knowledge-based companies will be unveiled.
As reported by IDEA, Ali Babaei, in a meeting with reporters, stated: The decade of emphasis on the knowledge-based economy discourse is behind us, but we have a different goal in mind.
This official in charge mentioned that out of the 8,995 knowledge-based companies in the country, less than 70 are large-scale knowledge-based production companies, which are private and have more than 100 employees, equivalent to less than one percent of all knowledge-based companies. Tariffs on similar product imports, medium-scale financial support, allocation of currency for raw materials and machinery, purchasing of state-owned and semi-state-owned companies, and operating licenses for knowledge-based companies are some of the main factors in the growth of these companies. The Head of the Office of Technology and Innovation at the Ministry of SAMT, emphasizing the transformation of small-scale knowledge-based companies into large-scale ones, stated: Various entities in this field need to be active and support these companies. The Ministry of SAMT especially supports knowledge-based companies that enter the fields of water, transportation, and energy, and two funds belonging to this ministry will be utilized in this regard.
Babaei continued: In collaboration with the Ministries of Industry, Economy, and Science, Research, and Technology, as well as the Office of Scientific and Technological Affairs of the Presidential Office, we are defining new mechanisms for knowledge-based companies to overcome obstacles. Creating a competitive market and enabling exports for the products of knowledge-based companies is another goal of this event.
