According to the new CEO of the National Informatics Company, this organization aims to lead the digital transformation in the banking industry.
As reported by IDEA, citing the public relations department of the National Informatics Company, the first official meeting of Alireza Mahyar, the new CEO of this company, was held with the CEOs of the National Informatics Group companies and senior managers of the National Informatics Company.
Mahyar emphasized the importance of the National Informatics Group’s role in the country’s banking and electronic payment ecosystem and stressed the need to redefine the identity and role of this group in the banking industry. He added, ‘One of the most essential needs currently within the National Group is to review and revise the strategic plan of the National Company and other group companies. Besides focusing on new areas and cutting-edge technologies, we must pay more attention to the synergy of group companies and, of course, corporate governance.’
The CEO of the National Informatics Company mentioned that in the past, good plans had been prepared for this matter but executing an ideal plan still requires significant effort. It is essential to revitalize this document and reconsider it in various fields, aligning it with modern approaches.
He further emphasized the unmatched position of the National Informatics Company and its subsidiary companies. He stated, ‘Paying attention to the performance and effects of the National Group companies indicates that this group’s position, even on a global scale, is unparalleled in the banking and payment systems industry. Therefore, the role of this group and its method of operation and service delivery should be reviewed and enhanced in line with its prestige and position.’
Mahyar also mentioned the role of the National Informatics Company alongside the Central Bank as a technological, innovative, and strategic arm. He said, ‘Investing in and focusing on new areas such as artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies will be among the new strategies of the National Informatics Group. We will undoubtedly make efforts to be a pioneering and leading force in the digital transformation of the banking industry in the short term.’
He stated, ‘In the field of marketing services and customer service, we need to adopt new approaches, and our new program will focus on not only playing a role in domestic markets but also paying special attention to international markets. Given the powerful diplomacy recently initiated by the Central Bank, this capacity is well provided.’
A particular focus on human capital and training, continuous and qualitative activity, and technological governance and innovation within the group were among the other emphasized aspects by Mahyar in the meeting with the managers of the National Informatics Group companies.
In conclusion, he stressed the serious commitment of the new management team at the National Informatics Company, which has started under the guidance of the Central Bank’s director-general. He added, ‘This change needs to be extended to all aspects and organs of the National Informatics Group, including subsidiary companies.
