This morning, the CEO and several managers of Bank Melli met with the CEO of Irancell at Irancell’s headquarters. According to Irancell’s public relations department, on Sunday, September 11, 1402, Reza Doulatabadi, the CEO, Abbas Ashrafnejad, the Deputy CEO, and an executive board member of Bank Melli, along with several managers from the bank, met with Dr. Bijan Abbasi Arand, the CEO of Irancell, at Irancell’s headquarters for a discussion.
According to IDEA, in this meeting, both parties emphasized the enhancement of bilateral cooperation to strengthen the digital economy infrastructure and provide better services to the people, while also discussing the current trends in their interactions.
The CEO of Irancell, in this meeting, highlighted the significant role of Bank Melli in the banking network, stating: “Bank Melli is one of the largest banks in the country, and we are fortunate to witness good cooperation between the two entities in providing digital infrastructure to the public and businesses.”
Abassi-Arand, referring to Irancell’s Super App Wallet service, stated that facilitating financial processes, including receipt and payment transactions, is among the most important needs of digital businesses. He added: “In case some existing obstacles are removed, Irancell, as the first and largest digital operator in Iran, is ready to offer its Super App Wallet service to various digital businesses.
The CEO of Bank Melli also emphasized in this meeting: ‘We are the only bank in the country’s banking network that has fully implemented Islamic banking, and in this regard, we have achieved significant success. Furthermore, in the field of digital banking and the digital transformation of the banking system, Bank Melli has taken significant actions, which, undoubtedly, in collaboration with the Irancell group, one of the leading companies in the field of digital transformation in Iran, will enable us to provide these services in the best possible way.’
Doulatabadi, while appreciating the actions taken by Irancell in establishing digital infrastructure in the country, added: ‘The creation of a broadband communication network and the fifth-generation mobile phone network are among the commendable actions of Irancell, and Bank Melli is ready to expand bilateral cooperation, using this communication infrastructure, to provide higher-quality services to the customers of Bank Melli and Irancell.
