Podro Users Gain Access to Jaa-baar Smart Locker
Collaboration Agreement between Jaa-baar and Podro Signed on Tuesday, 6th of Shahrivar, 1402
According to IDEA, the Public Relations of Podro, with the signing of this contract, all Podroland, Podropin, and Podroshop users can utilize the special services of collecting and delivering parcels through Jaa-baar’s lockers.
In this meeting, Pashootan Porpezeshk, CEO of Podro, and Ramin Samiee-Zadeh, CEO of Jaa-baar, agreed upon a memorandum of understanding to incorporate Jaa-baar’s special features into various Podroland services. This includes creating an integrated online sales infrastructure, providing integrated logistics services, accessing smart lockers, secure and trustworthy payment, exclusive delivery services, and providing additional payment devices.
Expansion of the Podroland Ecosystem
Jaa-baar: Provider of intelligent postal lockers in specific urban locations that safeguard and store postal items for users to collect at their desired time and place.
This collaboration agreement, aimed at expanding the Podroland ecosystem to bridge the gap between online and offline businesses in the small and medium-sized enterprise sector, seeks to provide the necessary infrastructure for users who require flexibility in sending or receiving postal packages. Ultimately, this leads to increased customer satisfaction with the purchasing experience of businesses.
Adding 200 Lockers to the Jaa-baar Network
Pashootan Porpezeshk, CEO of Podro, explains the formation of this ecosystem: “Jaa-baar’s joining of this ecosystem can be considered a special opportunity for small and medium-sized businesses that need flexible time and location for delivering customer orders. With the good coverage that Jaa-baar provides to citizens in Tehran, it can become a connecting link for optimizing logistic services and parcel movement.”
Currently, 97 intelligent Jaa-baar lockers are stationed at 47 locations throughout Iran. Jaa-baar’s smart lockers are automated systems that operate without the need for operators, allowing them to be accessible at all times of the day, including holidays. This is one of the main advantages of smart lockers, which traditional postal systems are unable to provide.
According to Porpezeshk, Jaa-baar’s integration into the Podroland ecosystem is a suitable opportunity for businesses using these services, as they can rely on Jaa-baar as a trustworthy option, even for the special process of collecting their orders.
Ramin Samiee-Zadeh, CEO of Jaa-baar, also elaborated on the collaboration with Podro on the sidelines of the signing ceremony of this agreement: “Connecting to the Podroland network creates an opportunity for Jaa-baar lockers to host more postal packages from small businesses. Jaa-baar has designed and provided smart lockers for its users in Tehran, Karaj, Rasht, Mashhad, and Kish. We intend to add more than 200 lockers to the Jaa-baar network by the end of the year, with 70% of them being distributed in Tehran.
Possibility of Delivery Outside the Home
He continued, “The use of these lockers can be seen as a special opportunity for businesses to provide higher-quality services to their customers in the logistics sector.”
One of the advantages of the collaboration between Jaa-baar and Podro is the utilization of this special opportunity by Podroshop users. Podroshop users, mostly active sellers on social networks like Instagram, require more flexibility in the time and location for collecting and delivering orders. With Jaa-baar’s services, sellers can use Jaa-baar’s facilities according to their desired time and location. Similarly, this opportunity is available for their customers to select their desired location or time for receiving their orders.
Samiee-Zadeh added to these points, “Perhaps the main function of Jaa-baar’s services can be understood as providing services on holidays or during non-standard hours when collection or delivery services by other postal companies face limitations. Therefore, the presence of this service within Podropin, along with postal companies, is a practical option for all businesses.”
Porpezeshk also mentioned “Delivery Outside the Home” services as a necessary requirement in Iran’s logistics service chain and said, “Many large companies in the e-commerce sector, like Amazon or Trendyol, provide these services. Major postal companies like DHL or FedEx also use smart lockers to provide services to their users. Therefore, the presence of this system is essential to complete the logistics chain in Iran, and at Podroland, we strive to provide various services to our users so that they can experience the best quality and experience of online shopping or logistics services.”
Samiee-Zadeh regarded Jaa-baar’s services, which are fully automated, as a special opportunity for users: “The high security of these lockers allows users to place their various-sized packages in this space with peace of mind.
