Seven years after Smartech was founded, the company’s founder stepped down from his position as chairman of the board and ended his involvement with the company.
According to Ideaagency, “Mazdak Pakzad” announced his departure from Smartech in a post on LinkedIn, writing that from now on, the company’s path will continue in full coordination with the Digikala Group. Pakzad had previously stepped down as CEO of Smartech.
He wrote in the post: “A few months ago, in an email we sent to the team, we told them about the upcoming changes and the gradual transfer of the company’s leadership to Digikala E-Commerce Group. I also initially stepped down as CEO and remained as Chairman of the Board during this time to pave the way for a new period of evolution. Now, after long deliberations, I have decided to step down as Chairman of the Board and end my presence at Smartech. From now on, the company will continue its path in full coordination with Digikala Group.”
According to him, Smartech “was able to develop its first products with the efforts of an extraordinary team and the support of leading experts, and after attracting a multi-million dollar investment from the Digikala Group, it became one of the key players in the MarTech (marketing technology) and EdTech (educational technology) industries.”
The founder of Smartech also thanked the company members who grew together over the years, saying, “This journey was full of valuable learning for me, and I am proud to have been a part of this journey.”
