“Digikala” announced that its Enamad license was suspended at the request of the e-commerce development center and based on “wrong information” and following this incident, by sending a request to Shaparak, Digikala’s internet portals were also closed.
According to Iran digital economy annotation, Digikala wrote in a notice that it published in this regard: “Such encounters with innovative businesses will cause damage to e-commerce and online retail and the activists in this field in the country.”
In another part of this announcement, it is mentioned: “In a situation where all kinds of contraband goods are sold in abundance in physical stores in the city and Instagaram, Telegaram and… It has no message other than moving sellers to informal spaces, without any supervision and tax revenue, and disappointing digital economy activists.”
Digikala has said that these clashes seriously harm the 400,000 sellers engaged in this market place and endanger their livelihoods.
At the end of this notice it is stated: “We hope that this problem will be resolved soon with the help of the relevant institutions and that Digikala will be able to continue providing good services to its customers and sellers.”
