In the “Jobvision” job market seasonal situation event, which was held today, Tuesday, October 8, this employment website shared the statistics of the job market situation related to the summer of 2024. According to these statistics, job opportunities have decreased by 8% compared to the summer of last year and by 11% compared to this spring.
According to Iran digital economy annotation, Meghdad Velaei, the co-founder of Jobvision, announced at this event that this company has been able to increase its share among specialized platforms in the field of recruitment in the last five years and has now become the number one player in this field.
He said: “Nearly 100,000 authenticated organizations cooperate with Jobvision. Jobvision’s job seekers have exceeded 3.5 million people and we have sent 40 million resumes last year. In the last year, Jobvision has managed to get more than 150 thousand people to their new jobs.
Velaei claimed that currently “there is no credible and reputable private company that does not use Jobvision”. After these words, the co-founder of Jobvision went to the quarterly labor market report itself to share the statistics obtained by this company.
Decrease in labor market performance
According to the Jobvision report, the number of job opportunities in the summer of 2024 has decreased by 8% compared to the summer of 2023. Also, compared to this spring, this drop was 11%. However, the average salary announced compared to this spring has increased by 6% and this increase compared to the summer of last year was 33%. It seems that jobseekers’ requests for employment have increased more than last year, because the competition among jobseekers for job opportunities has increased by 38% since the summer of last year. Of course, this is important because more job seekers use Jobvision as a platform.
The rapid growth of the data science and artificial intelligence career group
The job group of data science and artificial intelligence has experienced a big job market this summer by registering the highest growth in all three branches in the number of job opportunities, salaries and competition of job seekers. But on the other hand, the logistics, transportation and warehousing job group has experienced the biggest decrease in job opportunities compared to the summer of last year. The occupational group of translation, content production, writing and editing had the lowest salary growth. In the job group of product manager, product owner, we have seen the biggest decrease in competition among job seekers.
Alborz province had the largest decrease in the number of job opportunities and Qom province had the largest seasonal increase in job opportunities. Also, Tehran province experienced the highest seasonal salary growth and East Azarbaijan province experienced the lowest seasonal salary growth. The highest increase in competition for job seekers to enter the labor market belongs to Razavi Khorasan province and the largest decrease in competition for job seekers to enter the labor market belongs to Alborz province.
