Managing Director of Yazd Telecommunication Cable Factories Shahid Ghandi, referring to the efforts of this group to promote the country’s production and self-sufficiency in this area, said: “Fortunately, this year there is a 600% increase in the production of optical cables in this group, of which provides more than 90% optical fiber in the country”
According to the IDEA, “Mohammed Javad Askari” today, Wednesday, the first of December, during the visit of the media to different parts of this complex, stated: Today, Shahid Ghandi Factory Complex, as the largest producer of telecommunication cables in the Middle East region, currently produces 90% of the optical fiber needed by the country. And even up to 90% of the telecommunications cables needed by Syria are provided through this complex.
He announced the effort to make this collection knowledge-based and said: This year, the issue of production growth and cost reduction in the country is being emphasized, and fortunately, Shahid Ghandi Collection is also moving in the same direction.
Askari pointed to the increase in the annual budget of the Shahid Ghandi complex in recent years and its current increase to 1200 billion tomans and said: “Fortunately, in recent years, the cash flow period of the complex has decreased from three years to 2.5 months, which also causes The previous problems of the collection in the supply of raw materials have been solved.
He pointed out: Fortunately, in this regard, we have seen a 600% increase in production in the field of optical cables of this complex this year compared to last year, or in the Abarkooh polymer factory, in the first five months of this year, we experienced a double increase in production compared to last year.
This industrial activist announced the export of the products of this group to countries such as Tajikistan and Turkey and said: “We currently purchase 1,500 tons from Turkey, but we are trying to increase the purchase of this country to 5,000 tons per month.”
He informed about the efforts to develop the export markets of this collection in the countries of Syria, Afghanistan, Turkey, Venezuela and Eurasian countries and said: Since the beginning of this year, we have had 1.5 million euros of electric cables to Iraq and we are planning to increase exports to this country. We are at 2 to 2.5 million euros.
Askari pointed to the joint cooperation of this group with different countries, including Afghanistan, Pakistan and Venezuela, and added: Currently, the equipment for the production of 9 new types of products is being purchased, and we hope to take over the target markets even more.
According to him, the capacity of this complex includes the production of 17,000 self-supporting cables, 30,000 kilometers of optical cables, and 2,500 kilometers of micro cables, as well as the production of 3,000 kilometers of electric cables.
He also announced about the transfer of Shahid Ghandi’s factories outside the city: this action, based on the decisions of mining development and senior officials of the province, started in 1400 and a land of 60 hectares around Yazd has been placed for this purpose.
Askari stated: The current lands of this complex will be used for commercial use and we hope to be able to invest 16 to 17 thousand billion tomans in the field of copper mining activities and copper cathode and wire production.
“Ali Mohammad Poursaleh”, CEO of the solar panel manufacturing company under Shahid Ghandi Group, also told reporters: “We are the first and largest producer of photovoltaic panels in the country, which is currently producing 15 megawatts of panels with the benefit of new technology and equipment.” We have a power plant of 450 megawatts and above, and we plan to produce 200 megawatts of panels for next year.
He said: “Fortunately, the production panels of this complex have the highest efficiency of 23%, and we hope to get a high share in supplying all the equipment of solar power plants.”
Poursaleh pointed out: We are planning to produce double-sided panels to increase the efficiency of electricity generation and supply at competitive prices, and due to the rapid growth of technology, we are investing with high risk in this field.
Stating that the government plans to create 60,000 megawatts of solar power within four years, he said: We hope that the government will consider the 16% export incentive and tax exemption for companies active in the field of solar power, like some of our country’s competitors in this field, such as China. have more support for domestic producers.
He added: “Like in previous years, the cabinet should approve investment incentives in solar power plants using domestic products, so that a favorable step can be taken to support and promote domestic production.”
In the end, Poursaleh pointed to joint cooperation with some neighboring countries and stated: Currently, part of the products of this collection are used inside the province and some other provinces, but they are negotiating for export to countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Armenia. We are also
“Mehdi Elahizadeh”, the head of the optical cable production department of this complex, while enumerating the characteristics of optical fiber in the field of communication, stated: optical cables, in addition to the speed and quality of communication, in each strand of optical fiber, unlike copper strands, which establish only one connection up to four thousand messages can be transmitted, which is a significant feature in the field of communication compared to the much thinner diameter.
According to him, currently, depending on the type of optical cable that is produced in different types, 60 to 90 kilometers of optical cable are produced daily in this complex.
I have to say; While visiting the different parts of this industrial complex and learning about its capabilities, the journalists had a conversation with the managing director and the heads of different departments of the Shahid Ghandi complex.
